No matter how we measured the engine and our trailers, some engines are much too high to transport on public roads. We solve the problem by using three of our Big John derricks to rotate the engine while suspended and lay it on its side.
Often times a car is just too large to place on a flat car for relocation to a repair facility. This is where Utilco Railroad Services patented highway capable wheel trucks come into play. It only requires removing the rail wheels and trucks and replacing them with our highway system. In very short order the car is ready to move on public highways at road speed. This particular car was moved over 100 miles on US 341 and US 1 without incident.
The Cement truck to the right was transported out on the Trout River Trestle in Jacksonville, Florida for unloading, fast, efficient and safe.
